DYES: Cushing "Perfection" Acid DyesCushing "Perfection" Acid Dyes are designed for use on protein-based fibers: wool, silk, mohair and other animal fibers, and nylon. The term “acid” refers to the pH of the dye bath. They are simple to use, and inexpensive, especially if you only need to dye a small amount of fiber. Like other acid dyes, they need to work in an acid environment (a small amount of ordinary white vinegar in the dye-bath works fine), and need to be set on the fiber by heat, generally provided by a hot dye-bath. There are 94 pre-mixed colors. A pack will dye 1 LB of fiber to a medium shade.Ask for basic instructions, free with order.
