DYES: Setacolor Fabric Paints, Opaque Colors Water-based, non-toxic, concentrated, and particularly vivid. They can be used to paint, stain or print natural and synthetic fibers; fine or thick, light or dark, without altering the hand (be sure to remove sizing before you start adding color). All colors mix, and they can be thinned with water to obtain watercolor effects. To fix, iron on the reverse side of the decorated fabric for 3 minutes on hot (cotton) setting. Or bake the fabric in an oven for 5 minutes at 150°C (300°F). Once fixed, fabric may be machine washed or dry cleaned. Once set, colors tolerate machine washing at 100ºF or dry cleaning. Excellent lightfastness. Use soapy water to clean brushes. Vivid and bright, the Setacolor Opaque colours have an exceptional covering power to decorate both dark or light coloured fabrics. Their rich texture is especially suited for brush work, stencil work and even silkscreen printing. The Setacolor Shimmers have rich, deep shades that glitter and change with the light. They work best undiluted. The Setacolor Transparents are suitable for all techniques on light colored fabrics. They are well suited for brush work, stencil work or silkscreen printing, and are especially appropriate for diluted techniques. The Setacolor transparent paints are light-sensitive and can therefore be used to obtain remarkable effects with sunlight (2 parts water for one part color). Use the Lightener to create lighter shades without weakening or thinning the product. Please note that the colours will be less opaque. The Thickener is specially recommended for stencilling or silk-screen printing workMix a few drops of thickener at a time with paint until you reach the desired consistency.
