DYES: Setasilk Paints (in 250 ml Jars) & Resists

Made by Pebeo®. Pigmentary, non-toxic, heat-fixed colors; made from finely dispersed pigments and resins. Setasilk colors are vivid, intense and very bright. Intended for silk (will not dull or harden the fabric), they work on other fibers too. For all silk painting techniques: outlining, salt-dusting, watercolor (on dry or damp silk), batik. Dilute with Setasilk Thinner. Paints can be thickened with one of the Resists (not the Colourless) or with one of the Transparent Setacolors.
Use the Resists (Pebeo calls them “water-based guttas”) to outline and contain areas of color. Available clear and in colors, in a tube with a built-in applicator tip.
Apply resist first, and allow it to dry completely (it will take about half an hour). Then apply paints, air-dry, then iron fabric for 3 to 4 minutes on the back side with a hot iron to set. Fabric may be hand washed or dry-cleaned 48 hours after fixing process is completed. Use soap and water to clean up.
