GERSON 1710 DUST/MIST RESPIRATOR These masks are a good step up from the simple “nuisance dust” masks sold in hardware stores: they’re thicker, larger, better made. Adequate respiratory protection handling dry dye chemicals. FUME RESPIRATOR An intermediate level of protection. The medium is thicker, the filtration is better. There is a button valve for exhaust, so that you don’t have to push your out-breath through the filter. Good for dusts, mists, fumes, ozone, nuisance levels of organic vapors. Not adequate for serious exposure to gases, and vapors. CARTRIDGE RESPIRATOR SYSTEM For the system to function, you must have a face-piece and a pair of cartridges. Add a pair of filters if you wish. Choose the cartridges that match your need, from dust to radionuclides. Exceptionally comfortable, even with glasses and goggles, light-weight silicone body seals snugly against your face. High-level protection, suitable for prolonged exposure. Not necessary for slight or occasional exposure, unless you are exceptionally sensitive.
