HANDLING: Scales THE COUNTER BALANCE CB500 Four interchangeable paper calibration strips to choose from four different unit systems: metric, avoirdupois, postal rates and troy. An extendable counterweight establishes two different counterbalance ratios. The leveling screw makes the scale usable on most surfaces. Made from a tough polymer with beryllium-copper bearings, this scale weighs up to a pound and is accurate to within one gram: reasonably durable, reasonably accurate, reasonably priced. A bowl to replace the flat pan is available separately. THE OHAUS 750-SO TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE As accurate a scale as most dyers are ever likely to need: one-tenth gram or half-a-hundredth of an ounce. Capacity 610 grams, stainless steel pan, magnetically dampened. This sturdy scale has been the standard for schools and labs for decades. The extra weights (2500 gm) raise the scale capacity to 3100 grams. OHAUS COMPACT SCALE A portable electronic scale. Weighs small quantities (up to 200 gm/7.5 oz) very accurately (within .1 gm/.01 oz). Runs on 3 AA alkaline batteries (included) or on house current with an AC adapter (not included). It has an LCD display, reading in grams or ounces. The pan size is 5.75 inches square, over-all it measures 7.6 x 5.3 x 1.5 inches.
