POTTERY: Clay
Well-mixed clay bodies, packaged in 25 LB poly-bags. All of them can
be used for hand-building or for wheel-thrown work. All must be kiln-fired
to produce permanent pieces, but they may be used for modeling indefinitely
if kept moist. Remember that shipping charges will add considerably to
clay costs. Ready to use. From Highwater Clays.
White
Earthenware: Smooth, white low fire clay body. No grog.
Earthern Red:
A forgiving and versatile terra cotta body. It can be pushed to cone 5
where it turns very dark. No grog.
Brownstone:
This light to medium brown oxidation body is a good choice for mid-range
work of all types. Contains 3% fine grog.
Wonder White:
A good all around choice containing fire clay but no grog. For wheel
work or handbuilding.
Trina Buff:
Fire clay and 3% fine mullite make it great for both hand and wheel
work.
Porcelain
One (P5): This is a beautiful mid-range porcelain. Great
working properties.
Porcelain
Two (P10): A very plastic, domestic porcelain which throws
extremely well.
