These shuttles, designed for net-making, also work well for weaving (especially tapestry) and tatting. We have Norwegian net shuttles, "made by fishermen for fishermen", from a strong flexible plastic. These are much stouter than the Delrin ones we once had. The dimensions given below are length and width (visible in picture). The first four are chunky, from the blunt end the profile is an "H". The largest is flatter, the end profile is an "I".
