WEAVING: Raddles
Raddles keep the warp in order, evenly spread and help you to wind
on at a good and consistent tension. The raddles here will fit into
the beaters of most models of looms (where the reed goes), or may be
clamped onto front or rear beams, or hung down from the castle.
WOODEN RADDLES FROM SCHACHT
Schacht raddles come with metal clamps, and have steel pins every ½"
(remove as many as you wish to get the spacing you like). The Wolf raddles
come with stands that snug the raddle down onto the curve of a Wolf’s
front or rear beam.
WOOD & WIRE RADDLES FROM GLIMAKRA
Glimakra Raddles have heavy wire spacers, both ends stuck into the wooden
base. The holes are one centimeter apart (about 3/8 "), place the
wires where you want them.
