WEAVING: Poppana & End Feed Shuttles

 POPPANA SHUTTLES
These are made like carpet or rug shuttles, fitted with a disc-like bobbin that carries strips of fabric. For rag rug weaving. From Toika.

SCHACHT END-FEED SHUTTLES
The bobbin is fixed: yarn pulls straight off the end, then passes through an adjustable tensioner. You can weave faster (because the shuttle keeps track of the tension and prevents back-winding), and get straighter edges.
You will need special plastic quills (sometimes called pirns) and a sturdy bobbin winder.Please be very sure to tell us which shuttle you are ordering quills for.
