WEAVING: Table & Folding Floor Looms
LOUET 4-HARNESS TABLE LOOM
Features front-mounted harness levers and overhead beater. The weaving
width is 40 cm (16"), and the position of the beater makes the
usable weaving space surprisingly large. Comes with 400 texsolv heddles,
10 dent per inch (40 per 10 cm) steel reed, 2 flat shuttles, warp sticks,
apron bars, lease stick and built-in top-mounted raddle. Assembly instructions
are a little sketchy, but once assembled the loom weaves smoothly and
easily.
Made of European beech, finished in clear lacquer. Shipping weight 40
LB. Optional equipment: conversion kit to 8 harnesses, floor stand,
second warp beam (mounts to and therefore requires the floor stand).
THE SCHACHT WOLVES - BABY & MIGHTY
All in all, the Baby Wolf is the loom we handle most, rolling to the
front of the store, rolling to the back, carting upstairs, loading into
cars. We wish sometimes they had motors as well as wheels. We sell Wolves,
we rent them, and we use them for classes and demonstrations.
This X–frame loom folds up snugly, but is still firm enough to function.
The “Stroller” is a set of four casters that attach to the loom feet,
cocking up out of the way when the loom is in use, pressing down onto
the floor when the loom is folded up. The Wolf-Trap is a narrow hook-on
tray the length of a Schacht Wolf’s front beam holds shuttles, bobbins,
etc. - nylon fabric slung from a wood frame attaches directly to your
loom.
Wolves travel in cartons, folded up but essentially ready for use. Earth
Guild pays shipping on Wolves, within the forty-eight contiguous United
States.
