WOODWORKING: Flexcut Draw Knives The standard flexible draw knife has a 5-inch edge, designed to remove large amounts of stock quickly. Flexing accommodates concave or convex surfaces. Cuts can conform closely to the finished shape, taking less time to sand or scrape. The curved edge gives a skew-like cutting action for a low-resistance cut. This tool works great for carving chair legs, hollowing chair bottoms or quickly roughing-out decoys. The single-handle draw knife is designed for hard-to-reach areas, where a pulling action is efficient. Change the cutting angle easily by flexing the shank. The smallest draw knife was developed for fan carving, but covers many odd jobs such as chamfering corners and paring basket materials. A handy tool that fits into almost any tool box.
